“The location of holy ground is…wherever we find the presence of God. Holy ground is any place where we allow God’s presence to enlighten our minds. Holy ground is any place where God’s will is made clear to us. Holy ground is any place that demands that we ‘remove our shoes.’ …”

“The commander of the Lord’s army replied, ‘Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.’ And Joshua did as he was told.”
There is an old hymn entitled “Holy Ground.”
Moses found himself standing on Holy Ground as did Joshua. They both were told to take their shes off. In my journey, there are numerous times that God met me and figuratively ‘my shoes came off’! I was on Holy Ground. All of those encounters were life altering. Is there anything in our lives that needs to ‘come off’? Mostly the Lord made me take “off” my will and put on His will. What would change about our lives if we were on Holy Ground with God? He will meet us there, if we will humble ourselves and wait before our God.
In your presence, Lord, there is joy beyond measure and at your feet peace of mind can still be found. I am standing on Holy Ground and may your plan in my life abound.
