How to become a member of Kinney Avenue Christian Fellowship.  

Church membership is more than just signing up to join a group.  We welcome people into our fellowship in several ways.

1.  By making a personal decision of the heart to receive God's forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ.

John 3:16 states: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  (New King James Version)

Romans 10:9 says: "For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Today's Living Bible)

Though there are no "magic" words one has to say, a prayer similar to the following can affect salvation in one's life:

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you died for me on the cross to pay for my sins. Thank you. I ask you to forgive me and come into my life.  Thank you for forgiving me and coming into my life.  Make me the person you want me to be.  From this point on I will obey you as you guide me and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Amen.

 

2.  By being baptized by immersion after making your decision to trust Christ as your Lord and Savior.

3.  By transfer of church membership from another church of like beliefs.

4.  By a statement of your faith as a believer who has followed Christ in baptism by immersion.
